Who we are
This notice is provided by OCTO Finance Group ("OCTO", "we", "us"). It explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose your personal information when you use the OCTO client portal and our mortgage and finance broking services.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly — your name, contact details, date of birth, residency, employment and income, assets, liabilities, expenses, the property involved, identification documents and, where you provide it, your electronic signature. When you sign, we also record the date, time and the IP address the signature was made from, as a record that you agreed.
Why we collect it
We collect this information to assess your needs, prepare and submit a finance application to lenders on your behalf, meet our responsible-lending and anti-money-laundering obligations, and keep you updated on your application. If you don't provide it, we may be unable to arrange finance for you.
Who we share it with
To arrange your finance we may disclose your information to lenders and their mortgage insurers, valuers, aggregators and referrers we work with, any co-applicant on your application, credit reporting bodies, and our professional advisers. We require these parties to protect your information. We do not sell your personal information.
Credit information
You authorise us to obtain your credit information from a credit reporting body and to use and exchange it with lenders to arrange finance. A credit reporting body may include this in reports it provides to other credit providers.
How we hold it
Your information is stored electronically with access controls, and is protected in transit and at rest. We keep it only for as long as we need it or as required by law.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
